Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.  Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.  The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

ABOUT CHIROPRACTIC

Chiropractic is the art and science of adjusting the vertebrae to effect the nervous system, and thereby improve the health of our patients.

The Science of Chiropractic is rooted in a few basic principles.

First; that all cells in our bodies need input from the nervous system.  Without this input cells will not function properly leading to dis-ease.

Second; nerve signals can be disrupted by many different factors including mechanical pressure, inflammation,  or even inappropriate signals from other nerves.

Third; that misalignment of the spinal vertebra can disrupt the nerve signals.

From these 3 principles we can conclude that restoring proper alignment of the vertebra can restore normal nerve signals, elevating  dis-ease and improving the health of the person.

The Art of Chiropractic is a more difficult concept to describe. Each doctor has to work with each patient to find the proper placement, type, velocity, and strength of adjustment.

When someone asks me "how did a do a specific adjustment, I like to use an analogy of painting a room.  If you decide to paint a room yellow, do you want 'buttercup", "lemon", or "sunshine".  All types of yellow but all will have a different effect on the room.

The science of chiropractic took me 4 years of undergraduate schooling and 4 years of chiropractic college to learn.  The art of chiropractic will take a lifetime to learn and keeps the practice of chiropractic exciting and fresh.
