Some chiropractors choose to specialize in a single technique. I have chosen instead to study many different techniques. My hope is that I can find the combination of techniques that best matches each patient.

Adjusting Techniques

    Diversified Adjustments

This is the classic chiropractic treatment. The chiropractor uses specific body positions and dynamic thrusts to adjust the vertebrae.

   Gonstead Adjustments
Similar to Diversified, Gonstead adjustments use different positions and more specific thrusts.

     Extremity Adjustments

Chiropractic not only works on the spine but on the arms, legs and the jaw. Many non-spinal conditions respond to safe and effect chiropractic adjustments. In many cases adjustments can prevent the need for surgery.

    Activator instrument

The activator is a mechanical adjusting instrument. With this tool an adjustment can be performed with minimal force. This can be very effective for people desiring a gentle adjustment.

   Drop Table

With this technique the table assists in the adjustment. This can be very helpful with patients who have decreased mobility in the knees or hips.

   Pelvic Blocks

Using padded wedges, low back adjustments can be performed using only the weight of the body. This is a great option for people who have had hip replacements, back surgery, or who are pregnant.

   SOT

A light force adjustment designed to balance the skull, spine and sacrum.

   Physio-therapy

Heat packs, intersegmental traction, ultrasound or electric muscle simulators can be employed to reduce pain, decrease muscle spasm, and speed healing.

   Home Exercises
Most people can benefit from doing stretching or strengthening exercises at home.
